It’s National Dog Day today, and as some of you may know, many of us here at Onboard are dog lovers. Because we’re in the business of local and property information, I thought it would be fun to do a little search for the best places to own a dog.
Many articles came up, but the top was this one. This article was written back in 2013, but it’s still generating traffic for Estately Blog. (Incidentally, the best places to own a dog according to this article are Portland, San Diego, and Seattle.)
What’s interesting about this isn’t just that dogs like the west coast, it’s that a single blog managed to generate such interest for so long. It’s just another example of how much people care about local information.
If your business has an online presence, you want to drive traffic and build brand recognition online. The more visitors to your site, the more awareness you generate – which ultimately leads to revenue. Content that highlights the strengths or idiosyncrasies of different areas is very popular and a great way to promote your brand. This type of content will be shared, distributed, and will drive more people to your site without the added expense of advertising or paid search.
Last year we launched our publisher services division, so if you’re interested in adding this tactic to your marketing strategy, contact us today. The perfect time to plan for revenue growth might just be the dog days of summer.
